Luke Thompson has been handed a one-match penalty notice following Friday’s game with Huddersfield.
He has been given a Grade B charge of Other Contrary Behaviour – reckless contact with a match official.
The incident occurred when the forward scored in the second half and threw the ball forwards.
It appeared to hit the in-goal official on the leg.
Saints will decide whether to appeal or not on Tuesday.
