Saints Community Development Foundation would like to say a big thank you to the Pink Pearl Indian Restaurant in Newton for showing their support to our Veterans of the Foundation and local veterans in our community.
The restaurant provided free food, soft drinks and desserts to more than 50 members of the British Armed Forces.
They said: “We appreciate their services to our country and what they have sacrificed to keep us safe. We wanted to put on a special event to mark the 100th anniversary to the end of World War 1 and to give back to our local veterans.”
Steve Leonard, SCDF Director, added: “This is a fantastic gesture from the Pink Pearl Restaurant. It was a wonderful evening and we can’t thank them enough. This is a testimony of the brilliant work being achieved in our community, especially in times of need.
“We are proud to say The Pink Pearl Restaurant are an active working partner of The Foundation.”
