Saints' Head Coach Justin Holbrook was very pleased after Saints' win over Salford
“I was very happy with tonight’s game, Salford have made a really good start to the season and have some dangerous attacking threats in their team. Their halfs and full-back have been playing fantastic, so we had to do a really good job on them, and I think we did that in tonight’s win.
On of the big highlights for me was our defence again, to only concede one try against a good team who are in form is very pleasing.
I thought tonight was our best performance of the season so far. Across the full 17 everyone contributed in every facet of the game, on a bit of a tricky night, that was very pleasing as a Coach to see that.
On James Roby, Justin commented:
“It was fantastic wasn’t it, sums him up that late in the game he is the player down their after an 80m break to score the try. It’s performances like that that just adds to the already well-deserved legend status he has at the Club.”
On the half-back combination:
“We have started the year well, and on a difficult night against a tough team, we controlled the game quite well again, so I’m happy.”
