Morgan Knowles is Saints' Player of the Month for March and the forward has urged fans to get down and support Saints in the big clash with Warrington on Friday.
After a string of hard-working, impressive performances in the first nine rounds of Super League Knowles is Saints’ Player of the Month for March.
The forward played a pivotal role in maintaining Saints’ unbeaten start throughout March. His performance away at Huddersfield Giants is certainly one that has caught the eye as he made 27 tackles and scored a brilliant try, earning him 3 points in the Betfred Man of Steel standings.
Speaking exclusively to Saintsrlfc.com upon receiving the Player of the Month award from club legend Paul Sculthorpe MBE at this morning’s Stapleton Derby sponsored event, Morgan said:
“I am made up. We have had a good start to the season and the boys boys have been playing well so anyone could have won the award in truth.
“We are pleased with how we have started this year. I think we are beating teams this year in the right way, we are working hard and we are doing things well. I am made up with our start.”
Looking ahead to Warrington, Knowles admits all the boys are excited and ready for the top of the table clash which lies ahead whilst he hopes our fans can create a great atmosphere.
“It will be a tough game. All the boys are really excited to get out there tomorrow night and hopefully we can get the fans down and get a good atmosphere here at the Totally Wicked.
“They are a good team. They are sitting where they are for a reason. They have got good outside backs and the likes of Daryl Clark running off the middle with a good off-load game so it is a big task ahead but the lads are all up for it.
“We need a response following the last two weeks really as they probably haven’t been at the standards we have set so we will be looking to do that on Friday night.”
We are set for a record attendance for a Super League fixture between the two sides at the Totally Wicked Stadium tomorrow and you can be part of the spectacle by securing your tickets by clicking here or calling into the Ticket Office at the Totally Wicked Stadium (open until 5pm today) or by calling 01744 455052.
