Captain James Roby returns to the 19 man squad ahead of this week's 'Bad Friday' derby against neighbours Wigan Warriors at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
Head Coach Justin Holbrook hinted after the victory over Hull FC and yesterday in his pre-match press conference that his captain, Roby, is on track to return, but would make a call later this week to determine if he is fit enough to start.
Roby has missed the last four Saints victories after undergoing surgery on a niggling groin injury following the defeat to London Broncos, but he is included in the 19 man squad for Friday’s derby clash.
Aaron Smith has also recovered from the whiplash he picked up in the win over Warrington Wolves and also returns to the squad.
The two hookers, Roby and his understudy, Smith, come in for Joseph Paulo who is out with a calf strain and Matty Costello who is the other to drop out.
