Saints U19s captain and winner of the Academy Player of the Year award, Sam Royle insists all focus is on Friday night's derby Grand Final with Wigan at the DW Stadium.
Royle has missed just one U19s game this season and has played a key part in the successful campaign, scoring eight tries in 22 appearances and he admitted it was a proud individual moment to be awarded the Player of the Year after picking up the Scholarship Player of the Year award a few years ago.
Having said that, Royle is firmly focussed on Friday night’s crunch Grand Final clash at the DW Stadium in which he insists he has been dreaming of lifting that trophy as captain at the home of the Warriors!
Both the Warriors and Saints agreed earlier this week that the Academy Grand Final will go ahead at the DW Stadium this Friday 20th September with kick off at 5:30pm prior to Wigan’s match with Salford in the Super League Playoffs.
Saints fans can gain access to the curtain raiser Grand Final via Turnstile P5 of the North Stand at the DW Stadium with match tickets priced at £5 for Adults and £3 for all concessions including children.
