Captain James Roby admits it will be a very proud and special moment to lead St Helens out of the Old Trafford tunnel on Saturday for the Betfred Super League Grand Final.
Roby who has tasted Grand Final success before back in 2007 and 2014 says you “cannot buy the feeling” of walking through that tunnel at the Theatre of Dreams.
He admits the Red Vee have been the best team all year and says it will be ‘amazing’ to top off the 2019 unbeaten home season with a Grand Final ring tomorrow. However he also feels sport can be cruel at times as it was at Wembley, but hopes the Saints have learnt from the experience ahead of the clash at Old Trafford.
Our captain goes on to discuss the threats of Salford and believes a Saints victory could be the biggest achievement yet given he is captain.
