Despite the disappointment of last nights result there were a lot of positives that could be taken from the performance. The way the lads competed right up to the final hooter was great and we were so close to a very strong Roosters side which will surely stand us in good stead for the next two games.
This mornings usual recovery session was held at the Panthers Stadium before our post match BBQ breakfast. As ever, the usual big eaters in the squad (Baxter, O’Donnell and Brooks) were hanging around for seconds…..and thirds!!!
Recovery was done in was time to head over to Manly, to spend time on the beach and then learn how to catch the waves during the surfing lessons. From beginners to experts in just half an hour for some of the boys as Harvey McDaid, Kian Naylor, John Bennison, Tom Lyon and Taylor Pemberton led the way. Others just got threw around like a washing machine, the big front rowers, Pye, Woods and Brooks in particular!
‘DJ Harry Brooks’ and ‘MC Baxter’ were leading the sing song on the bus journey back, singing classics such as Tina Turners Proud Mary, Whitney Houston and Neil Diamond to name a few….
Dinner at Panthers was followed by a few shots at the Aqua Golf Park again before an early night, ready for another busy day tomorrow.
