SCDF raise £2500 thanks to Saints first team players

Saints Community Development Foundation would like to thank the Saints first team players for their amazing support this season after £2500 was raised through first team Man of the Match awards.

Six first team players who won Betfred Super League Man of the Match awards in 2019 opted to donate their £250 winnings to the Saints Community Development Foundation (SCDF) whilst Luke Thompson’s MOTM display in the Super League Grand Final added a further £1000 to the fund.

That means a whopping total of £2500.00 will help the foundation continue their fantastic work in the local community and beyond.

Steve Leonard, SCDF director said: “We would like to thank Betfred, our Saints players, coaching staff, our chairman Eamonn McManus, directors and CEO Mike Rush for their continued support throughout the season. The solidarity of the club and Saints Community Development Foundation has never been so strong and we are extremely grateful of their support this season.

“We will ensure that the money raised will go towards the many projects that we deliver to those within our own communities. The help is extremely appreciated.”
