Peyroux helps Cook Islands reach 2021 World Cup

Dom Peyroux topped off a memorable year as he helped the Cook Islands claim the final place at the 2021 World Cup after victory over USA over the weekend.

Peyroux, who was a stand-out performer for Saints during our Grand Final winning season, was sin-binned for a dangerous tackle in the 38-16 win over the United States in the final qualifying match at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

The Cooks, progressed as the likes of Troy Dargan, Alex Glenn and new Warrington signing Anthony Gelling,  went over for tries to become the 16th and final team to progress to the 2021 World Cup in England.

In other international news, James Bentley helped Ireland book their place and they will join, Australia, England, New Zealand, France, Wales, Jamaica, Fiji, Lebanon, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Italy, Scotland, Greece and Cook Islands in the draw.
