Head Coach Kristian Woolf admits he has been impressed with the fitness of his returning Saints, outlines the benefits of the warm weather training camp and looks ahead to our only trial game against London in LMS' testimonial in a few weeks time.
The Saints head out to Tenerife today for a week of warm weather training ahead of our first and only friendly against London Broncos in Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook’s testimonial on Sunday 19 January.
And Woolf admits the trip will be a good opportunity to increase work levels whilst also building further squad morale.
The boss also talks up the fitness levels of a number of his senior players who have returned to full training following an extended break after international duties whilst there is an update on the fitness of Tommy Makinson and Morgan Knowles.
Woolf goes on to give an insight into the strength of the squad he will select for the game against London and says there is always room for improvement despite the positives of pre-season thus far.
