After recently signing a new five year deal at the club, scans have revealed Mark Percival will unfortunately require surgery to his shoulder which will keep him out for several months, but in positive news, an experienced quartet of Saints could return against Hull FC on Sunday.
Percival picked up an injury in last week’s defeat to Warrington and initial thoughts had been that he would be back in action in a couple of weeks, but further scans and medical advice have revealed he will now require surgery.
As revealed by Kristian Woolf in his pre-match press conference yesterday, the good news however is that Tommy Makinson, Alex Walmsley, Morgan Knowles and Kyle Amor are back in training and could all return on Sunday against Hull FC.
James Roby is also edging closer to a return, with Lachlan Coote working hard to follow in the captains footsteps.
Kristian Woolf will name his squad for Sunday’s clash with Hull FC at 12 noon on Friday.
