HMS and Saints Move Forward with Partnership

Leading developer, HMS, is proud to announce its continued sponsorship of St.Helens R.F.C cementing this important partnership until 2021.

The sponsorship deal means that HMS will provide transport for both the Club and Community Department to support local initiatives and projects.

HMS, who earlier this year scooped a Northern Housing Award for the regeneration of the iconic Clock Tower at Ogden’s Tobacco Factory in Everton, is part of North West housing group Torus.

HMS specialist construction team delivers 24 hour property maintenance to more than 14,000 homes across St Helens ensuring that people across the borough have a safe and comfortable place to call home.

At the heart of St Helens since 1873, Saints is an iconic institution that works to grow local talent and invest in its community – values which align to HMS’ objectives and vision. A social entrepreneur committed to reinvesting 100% of its profits into the communities it operates in, HMS supports employment initiatives and community projects to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives through increasing access to opportunities.

HMS has recently partnered with Torus Foundation on its ‘Women in Construction’ initiative held in conjunction with St Helens Chamber. This event gave the ladies attending an insight into the construction industry and HMS have also offered work experience opportunities to further enhance their skills.

And they’re not the only ones to have gained new skills with HMS. Five Saints players: Jack Ashworth, James Bentley, Regan Grace, Kevin Naiqama and Zeb Taia, also tackled electrical and joinery qualifications following practical experience on HMS’ building sites.

Discussing the partnership, Managing Director of HMS, Paul Worthington said: “We’re delighted to continue working with Saints and supporting a club which makes such a positive impact on the people who live and work in St Helens.

“As an organisation, it’s important for us to work with partners who proactively contribute to their community and reflect our core values. Like all fans, we can’t wait to see what the season brings and we will be cheering loudly from the stands!”

Dave Hutchinson, General Manager from Saints said: “Here at St Helens R.F.C. we’re dedicated to providing unique opportunities to both fans and players and work with trusted partners to improve individual and community outcomes. HMS has worked closely with us to deliver excellent projects which have seen our players and fans gain new skills, confidence and access to employment as well as boosting our local economy with funding and provision – here’s to another two years of successful partnership working!”
