1996 Super League Round 1: Workington Town 0 St. Helens 62 at Derwent Park.
Saints’ opening fixture in summer rugby saw their highest Super League score registered without reply until Halifax Blue Sox were beaten 64-0 in 2002! Right winger Danny Arnold scored four tries! In his next five matches he went on to score nine more!
