Each day whilst we are all in Lockdown we will recall a famous Saints moment from the current day thanks to Saints Heritage Society.
28 APRIL 2001
2001 Challenge Cup Final: St. Helens 13-6 Bradford Bulls at Twickenham, London.
Saints had the game well and truly wrapped up with first half tries from Tommy Martyn and Keiron Cunningham.
This was a clinical victory for the Saints, in both preparation and application, despite the horrendous weather on the day and the patched-up pitch.
Did we care? Not at all! Players and staff, like us, were singing in the rain as the Saints added to their earlier Grand Final and World Club Challenge victories!
