Percival injury update

Mark Percival will sit out the next 2-4 weeks after picking up a minor muscle strain in the win over Castleford Tigers on Sunday.

The centre left the field mid-way through the first half and did not return.

Scans have revealed Percival has picked up a minor muscle strain and is set to miss the next couple of weeks.

He will certainly sit out Saints’ clash with Hull KR on Sunday August 30th and will also be a doubt for the following week against Huddersfield.

Head Coach Krisitian Woolf said: “He has a minor strain. It is only going to be somewhere around two to four weeks, and we will obviously give it every bit of time it needs because he needs to play as much as he can for us this year.”

The coach expects one or both of Dom Peyroux and Joseph Paulo to be available the next time Saints play – against Hull KR on 30 August.

Woolf will provide more detail in his weekly press conference next week.
