Saints Community Development Foundation and Merseyside Police helped support 20 veterans and their families by delivering food and essentials this week.
We would like to say a big thank you to Company Shop St Helens who are kindly providing food and essentials to local veterans, we would also like to thank Coalfields Regeneration Trust who are also supporting these deliveries, also to O’Neills who are kindly providing bags so that food is able to be distributed easily by volunteers and staff members and to Dave Brennan and his team at Merseyside Police for helping distribute the food and essentials to our local veterans.
Deliveries will be made each week up until the 29th December 2020.
Steve Leonard, Saints Community Development Foundations Director said:
“It is fantastic to be in a position to continue to assist our most vulnerable veterans at this time.”
“I would like to say a massive thanks to The company shop and to the coalfield regeneration Trust as well as Inspector Dave Brennan and his team from Merseyside Police.
“The timing of this cannot be underestimated with the second lockdown upon us. That said the spirit shown within our community to pull together and make a difference was immence. Let this continue as we again work closely together for the good of our veterans of the Foundation.”
Inspector Dave Brennan from Merseyside Police commented:
“It was an Honour me and my team to help out Saints Community Development Foundation, taking food parcels to the local veterans in the St Helens area.”
“It was a pleasure meeting the hard working volunteers from The Veterans of The Foundation who helped us distribute goods to local veterans homes, it was also a pleasure to meet our local veterans!”
“We are two great teams working together within the community! We are all in this together.”
