Tommy Makinson and Regan Grace are back in the Saints 21 man squad, but Mark Percival misses out, as Saints face Hull FC in the Betfred Challenge Cup Semi-Final on Saturday (2.30pm).
Makinson returned from a foot injury against Huddersfield in the last round of the Challenge Cup, but limped off after just three minutes. Kristian Woolf revealed he trained really well last week and that the Club’s medical staff have put him through his paces to ensure he is fit to return on Saturday with Wembley on the horizon for the winners.
He comes in for Percival who unfortunately will miss the game with a minor hamstring injury which will see him sit out the next two to three weeks. Agnatius Paasi, on the other hand, is named and is expected to feature despite leaving the field early as a precaution last week.
Makinson is joined by his wing partner Grace who also returns to the squad this week. He left the field late in Perpignan against Catalans with a head injury and subsequently missed out against Hull FC in Super League last week due to the short six day turn-around and the concussion protocols. Ben Davies drops out to make space for Grace’s return in the only other change.
Matty Lees, James Bentley and young Jake Wingfield are all still out with long-term injuries.
The game is live on BBC One with kick off at 2:30pm. It will follow the Saints Women’s Challenge Cup Final which kicks off at 11:15am on BBC2.
Saints fans are urged to get in early to support our Women with turnstiles opening at 10:15am. If you were lucky enough to be drawn out of the RFL ticket ballot, your ticket will allow you access to watch all three games. However once you enter the stadium, you are unable to leave and re-enter.
