Sunday’s St Helens Women’s game against York Ladies is cancelled.
St Helens have had one confirmed positive Covid case within our Women’s team with a number of others classed as being in close contact and therefore having to isolate.
This, along with injuries, has resulted in the Club only having 14 players available for the fixture and we have therefore taken the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s game with the welfare of the players being paramount.
York have therefore been awarded with a 24-0 scoreline. This is because they do not meet the threshold of seven players ruled out as a direct result of Covid-19. Therefore the game has been awarded to York.
St Helens Academy fixture against Castleford was also postponed earlier today after a positive test was recorded in the Club’s Academy team.
