Saints face Wigan Warriors in the derby at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Sunday with kick off at the slightly earlier time of 7.30pm.
BACKGROUND…
Saints come into this one on the back of a 17 day break after our Round 11 clash with Hull KR was postponed due to a Covid out-break in the Hull camp before Wednesday’s match with Castleford was cancelled with Saints awarded a 24-0 win after the Tigers were unable to field a 17-man squad for the match. You can read more here.
Before that, Saints narrowly lost to Warrington by six points to two back on 17 June and will look to bounce back against our fierce rivals Wigan who we face for the first time since THAT dramatic last minute win in the 2020 Betfred Super League Grand Final.
Wigan on the other hand arrive into this having lost four Betfred Super League games on the bounce – the last being a heavy 14-40 home defeat to Warrington Wolves at the DW Stadium on Wednesday.
