Saints Community Development Foundation inspiring lives

This week has been the beginning of a very busy schedule at The Saints Community Development Foundation with a variety of camps, activities and sessions taking place!

Check out a summary of what we have been up to last week, below…

Monday:

– Holiday and Food Camp (HAF) Multi sport sessions – 10am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm. The Holiday Activities and Food programme is aimed at providing healthy food and enriching activities free of charge for primary and secondary school aged children who are eligible for benefit related free school meals during the summer holiday’s. HAF camps take place Monday to Friday each week at two venues: The Shining Lights Centre and Broad Oak Primary School.

– HAF Cheer and Dance Camp: Saints Angels coaches led the cheer and dance session for Primary and Secondary aged children eligible for free school meals.

– Community Integrated Care Sessions: SCDF coaches delivered a variety of fun games to those under the care of Community Integrated Care.

– Wargrave Year 6 Sports Festival: 6 SCDF coaches attended the Sports Festival and ran a range of multi sports such as Rugby Battleships, Dodgeball, Passing into an inflatable passing wall and Kick Cricket as well as cheerleader activities ran by Saints Angel coaches Poppy and Nicola. Over 40 Children attended.

Tuesday:

– Holiday Activities and Food Camp (HAF) Cheer sessions at Broad Oak Primary 10am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm.

– Holiday Activities and Food Camp (HAF) Multi sport sessions at The Shining Lights Centre 10am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm.

– Saints Summer Rugby League Camps at Cowley, 9:30am – 3:00pm. Attendees learnt important rugby league skills as well as the all important basics, whilst having fun in a wide range of exciting games throughout the day with qualified coaches.

– Saints Outreach Programme: The Saints Outreach Programme gets local children involved in sports and activities within local parks in St. Helens. Coaches spend an hour at King George V Playing Fields in Sutton Manor every Tuesday, 3:30pm – 4:30pm.

Wednesday

– Holiday and Food Camp (HAF) Multi sport sessions at The Shining Lights Centre – 10am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm.

– Saints Summer Rugby League Camps at Cowley, 9:30am – 3:00pm. Attendees learnt important rugby league skills as well as the all important basics, whilst having fun in a wide range of exciting games throughout the day with qualified coaches.

– Mathew Howards Masterclass cheer and dance session at The Shining Lights Centre. Over the years Matt has helped create shows for Thomson Holidays, had a modelling career featuring in catalogues, performed on many musicals and helped create and teach students festival dances. Matt has also worked in musical theatre schools across the country and in the US.

Thursday

– The Foundations over 50’s club that takes place every Thursday, 1pm – 3pm at The Shining Lights Centre, Sutton Manor.

– Saints Summer Rugby League Camps at Cowley, 9:30am – 3:00pm. Attendees learnt important rugby league skills as well as the all important basics, whilst having fun in a wide range of exciting games throughout the day with qualified coaches.

Friday

– Holiday Activities and Food Camp (HAF) Cheer sessions at The Shining Lights Centre, Sutton Manor 10am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm.

– Holiday Activites and Food Camp (HAF)  Multi-sport sessions at Broad Oak Primary 10am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm.
