The Veterans of The Foundation and ladies from the Foundation's over 50's club was treated to a day out at Windermere!
The Group met for breakfast at The Shining Lights Centre in Sutton Manor where they had Breakfast and a chat before getting a coach to Windermere.
The visit, along with breakfast, a packed lunch and coach ride was free to the local veterans and the U50’s club and was paid for by Saints Community Development Foundation. When arriving at Windermere, The Veterans of The Foundation were able to go off to explore.
Though it rained in St Helens, the sun was shining at lake windemere, most enjoyed the walks, shops, boatrides and scenic views on their visit to Windermere.
Veterans with young families got to see The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction that is located in Windermere. One attendee of the trip mentioned:
“This has been such a lovely day for all, We haven’t been on a day out in over a year since lockdown and I am so glad that I came along!”
