Kristian Woolf has shed some light on the condition of Jonny Lomax after the half back hobbled off mid-way through tonight's win over Leigh Centurions.
Lomax was helped off the field on the 51st minute after an awkward fall following a tackle and post match Head Coach Kristian Woolf gave an update on his condition in his post match press conference.
Woolf told reporters post match: “He has copped something there around the hamstring region. It was a bit of a funny one in terms of him getting caught in an awkward position. Right at the moment we don’t quite know how bad it is.
“We are going to hope for the best and find out a little bit more in the next few days once we can get a scan and assess it properly.
“He is one of our best players and a crucial player for us with his position and his influence on the team. Whether it is one game, two games or whatever, he is obviously a loss. But we lost our half back [Theo Fages] earlier in the year and managed to play good footy and found ways to win and that’s what we will have to keep doing.”
Woolf will name is 21 man squad for Monday’s trip to Warrington Wolves on Saturday at 12 noon.
