Saints 2022 Betfred Super League fixtures revealed!

It was revealed last night that we will kick off the 2022 Betfred Super League campaign against Catalans Dragons at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Thursday 10 February with kick off at the later time of 8pm. The clash between last year’s Grand Finalists will be the first live match on Sky Sports in 2022.

Our Round 2 fixture will see us travel to the MKM Stadium to face Hull FC in a game which will be broadcast live on Super League’s new free-to-air broadcast partner, Channel 4 with kick off at 12.30pm.

The Betfred Super League Magic Weekend  was also confirmed earlier this week as we will face Wigan at Newcastle’s St James’ Park on Saturday 9 July (4.45pm kick off).

And now our opponents for the rest of the 2021 campaign has been revealed with specific kick off times to be confirmed at a later date by Sky Sports, Channel 4 and Super League.

After the opening two rounds, Saints are back at our Totally Wicked Stadium in Round 3 as we host Wakefield. We then face Warrington Wolves in Round 5 in a huge clash again at home.

Round 6, 7 and 8 sees a tough run which starts with a trip to France to face Super League newcomers Toulouse before an away tie at Leeds Rhinos followed by our traditional Good Friday clash – at home – against rivals Wigan Warriors!

We then have consecutive home games in Round 11 and 12, before the return clash with Warrington at the Halliwell Jones and a second trip to Toulouse in Round 14.

The Champions back that up with two home clashes before another trip abroad to face Catalans Dragons in Round 17, before we head to Newcastle for the annual Magic Weekend clash this time against Wigan!

Kristian Woolf’s men face Wigan again, this time at the DW Stadium in Round 25 in late August before the final regular season game of the year sees us host Toulouse at the Totally Wicked Stadium at the start of September.

The regular season will see each team will play 27 fixtures – 13 home and 13 away, plus Magic Weekend at St James’ Park.

The end of season Play-Off series will again see the top six ranked teams battle it out to reach Old Trafford. The top two teams at the end of the regular season will be just 80mins from the Grand Final and receive a bye in week 1 before facing the winners from third versus sixth and fourth versus fifth.

The culmination of every season is the Betfred Super League Grand Final and in 2022 this showpiece event will again take place at Old Trafford – slightly earlier due to the scheduled RLWC – on Saturday 24 September!
