The Totally Wicked Stadium has a total of 202 car parking spaces, of which 74 are accessible in the main car park.
Under the Rugby Football League operational rules, the Club must remove from that number 10% for away fans and a further 10 for hospitality guests. This leaves us with 57 spaces we can allocate to general spectators on matchdays.
The DDA and British Standards state we should have 5% of all parking spaces available for those with a disability. We currently stand at over 28% with that percentage increasing to 36% when all accessible spaces are available on a non-matchday.
At present we are oversubscribed by over 300 spaces on accessible parking requests and this demand has risen year on year.
Unfortunately it is not mathematically possible to grant every supporter their request for an accessible parking space. However we are evaluating all options on how best to proceed in the fairest possible way.
Once a fair and appropriate solution has been agreed, this will be communicated to all.
