Our Saints Academy take on Huddersfield Giants at Ruskin Sports Village as they look to kick off their season with a victory.
Our U18s have had an interrupted few years due to Covid-19, but will hope to complete a full season as Traynor and his coaches look to develop the next Jack Welsby and Lewis Dodd.
In fact, Traynor points to that fact being the most crucial role he has as Academy boss – transitioning players into the first team, over results.
Nonetheless, he believes his young side have trained well in pre-season and looks forward to a big year ahead.
Entry on Saturday at Ruskin Sports Village for the Academy opener is FREE for all. Kick off is at 4:30pm and we will have regular updates for you across our social media channels.
