Bell charged with a Grade B and will miss next two games

James Bell has been handed a two match ban after being found guilty of a Grade B offence in our defeat to Castleford Tigers meaning he will miss the next two Saints games against Salford and the Betfred Challenge Cup Semi Final against Wigan.

The RFL Match Review Panel reviewed an incident which occurred in approximately the 35th minute in which Bell was penalised for a late hit on the Castleford passer with the play resulting in Jake Trueman scoring.

Bell has since been charged with a Grade B ‘Dangerous Contact’ offence and has been handed a two match penalty notice, meaning he will miss Friday’s home clash with Salford Red Devils followed by the Betfred Challenge Cup Semi Final against Wigan Warriors at Elland Road on Saturday 7 May.
