Hear from Head Coach Kristian Woolf who has revealed the majority of his senior players are fit and will return against Salford Red Devils on Friday at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
The boss was without a number of senior players against Castleford last week, but says Will Hopoate and Sione Mata’utia will both return against Salford on Friday, whilst Regan Grace also has a “possibility” of returning. Joey Lussick suffered from a back-spasm against Castleford, but he is also fit.
Unfortunately, Jake Wingfield will miss out due to a shoulder injury he picked up against the Tigers as will Jon Bennison who has fractured his cheekbone following a tackle in the opening stages of the defeat. He will be out for a “few weeks” according to the boss, but “will get some more opportunities in the back end of the year.”
Woolf has also reaffirmed his praise for his young side who lost out in Yorkshire last week before previewing Friday’s game – as Saints look to head into the Betfred Challenge Cup semi-final against Wigan on the back of a victory.
