St Helens Women have announced their 21-woman squad for this weekend's Semi Final clash against Leeds Rhinos at Emerald Headingley which is to be shown live on Sky Sports Arena!
Head Coach Derek Hardman has named his squad ahead of Sunday evening’s big clash. There are no changes to the Saints squad following their 56-4 victory over rivals Wigan Warriors at Wigan Park Arena last weekend.
Saints secured a second place finish in the Women’s Super League following that win over the Warriors. League Leaders’ Shield winners York City Knights will face Wigan in the other Semi Final at 3pm on Sunday, whilst the Red Vee will wait until 5:15pm for their game against the Rhinos to get underway.
Sixteen players from last year’s Semi Final winning side are in contention to be in the team come Sunday. Rachael Woosey, Danielle Bush, Carrie Roberts, Amy Hardcastle, Leah Burke, Beth Stott, Zoe Harris, Isabelle Rudge, Tara Jones, Chantelle Crowl, Naomi Williams, Paige Travis, Jodie Cunningham, Victoria Whitfield, Alice Sandham and Pip Birchall all featured in our 58-0 victory over Castleford Tigers in 2021 and are in the squad again this year.
The winners of the two Semi Final games will meet at our Totally Wicked Stadium on the 18th September to see who will be crowned Women’s Super League champions in 2022!
