Bowmer and Kirkland Project manager David Baker steps in to help Veterans of the Foundation.

David Baker from Bowmer and Kirkland has stepped in to help out the Veterans of the Foundation, providing tools for their Allotment!

Only a matter of weeks has passed since the Veterans were rocked by a break-in at their allotment, with many of their tools and equipment being stolen.

But, after only a short phone call and and a few emails, David turned up today with loads of gardening tools so we can begin again with our project.

Foundation Director Steve Leonard stated “Bowmer & Kirkland are currently building the Glass Futures building and are currently our neighbours in McManus way. Instead of bringing us a cake over to introduce themselves, they have brought us gardening tools that will support our Veterans hugely.

It a fantastic gesture which will go a long way to helping us get back on track with our allotment programme. I would like to thank David and all at Bowmer and Kirkland for their gesture and for thinking of the Foundation in this way”

Arthur Berks a Veteran of the foundation said “ It’s really kind of David to take time out of his schedule to visit us and have a look at what we are doing. It is good to know that our work is appreciated and deemed worthy to donate such items as he has. We look forward to seeing him again to show him how far we have come and how useful his and Bowman & Kirkland’s donations have been to us”

A huge thank you to David and all at Bowman and Kirkland!
