The Club will continue with the same accessible parking process introduced during the 2022 season. This method continues to be the fairest approach to offer accessible parking for fans at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
Accessible parking can only be booked for each individual fixture. To make this process fairer to all fans who perhaps cannot travel to the Stadium, we have made the decision that applications can ONLY be made over the phone – and NOT in person.
This will be on a strictly first-come-first-served basis and we have ensured extra staff will be available to answer these phone requests. Phone lines will open at 9am (seven days before each home game)
For any other queries, including purchasing match tickets, the ticket office will be fully operational from 10am on this day.
We believe that by making this change it will give every 2023 Member the same chance to secure their space.
–
As detailed in our previous announcement, there is a provision for 57 accessible parking spaces for each match at the Totally Wicked Stadium (see notes below for further info on this provision).
With this in mind, and the current high demand for places taken into account, this provision is exclusively available to 2023 Members initially for each home fixture, with any remaining provision then made available to non-members.
When will the accessible parking be available for each match?
Accessible parking will be made live to 2023 Members seven days before the date of each home fixture. e.g. the next home fixture vs. Widnes in Mark Percival’s Testimonial Match which takes place on Friday 27 January, accessible parking can be booked from 9am, Friday 20th January.
On the day of the fixture itself, if any parking provision is still remaining, non-members who meet the disability criteria detailed below can book by visiting the Ticket Office.
How can 2023 Members apply for an accessible parking space?
2023 Members who already have already provided evidence of their entitlement to a disabled ticket to the Club when renewing their Membership, can follow the process above.
Any other 2023 Members in possession of a disabled blue badge, who have yet to provide details of this to the Club, must contact the Ticket Office in advance with their proof of eligibility i.e. their blue badge and a form of current ID. This only needs to be done on one occasion each season, so that the Club can record your evidence of eligibility. After that point Members can then call the Club to book for subsequent fixtures.
Please note: only one car parking space will be allocated per ticket booking
Notes regarding Accessible Parking at the Totally Wicked Stadium
The Totally Wicked Stadium has a total of 202 car parking spaces, of which 74 are accessible in the main car park.
Under the Rugby Football League operational rules, the Club must remove from that number 10% for away fans and a further 10 for hospitality guests. This leaves us with 57 spaces we can allocate to general spectators on matchdays.
The DDA and British Standards state we should have 5% of all parking spaces available for those with a disability. We currently stand at over 28% with that percentage increasing to 36% when all accessible spaces are available on a non-matchday.
At present we are oversubscribed by over 300 spaces on accessible parking requests and this demand has risen year on year.
Unfortunately it is not mathematically possible to grant every supporter their request for an accessible parking space.
Thank you for your patience and co-operation.
