Three of our St Helens teams are in match action this week – with our Under 16’s Scholarship side kicking off their season.
Our Scholarship, First Team and Academy are all on the road for matches this week, find out all the key details below.
Scholarship – Wigan Warriors (A)
Following their introduction to the supporters at the Totally Wicked Stadium last Friday night, our Scholars commence their new campaign on Wednesday night with the big local derby against Wigan.
The Scholarship season consists of eight matches, four at home, four away, with matches that are played at the Totally Wicked Stadium FREE for 2023 Saints Members.
The derby starts proceedings on Wednesday, but our Under 16’s will have their first home game of the year on Wednesday, 5th April against Hull KR.
- Wednesday, 22nd March
- Kick-off at 7pm
- Ince Rosebridge Sports & Community Club, WN2 2DZ
First Team – Huddersfield Giants (A)
Paul Wellens’ men got the victory over Hull FC last Friday night 20-12, in what was a real physical battle and will now look to make it back-to-back wins. The Red V should have more confidence about them following the game against Hull, especially in defence.
The 21-man squad will be named on Tuesday, with Sione Mata’utia and Konrad Hurrell back available for selection, whilst Morgan Knowles will not be due to picking up a one-match penalty notice in the game against Hull FC.

Academy – Huddersfield Giants (A)
Our Academy side face their first away trip of the Under 18’s Academy Championship season, a fortnight on from their dominant 80-0 home victory over London Broncos!
- Saturday, 25th March
- Kick-off at 10:30am
- Huddersfield YMCA RUFC, Laund Hill, HD3 3XF
