Triple the match for St Helens this week with three of our teams taking to the field, two of which have The Derby to contest against Wigan!
Our Scholarship side will kick-off this week’s Red V fixtures on Wednesday night, followed by the traditional Good Friday Derby for the First Team, before our Academy close out proceedings with the Under 18’s Derby on Saturday!

Scholarship – Hull KR (H)
Our Under 16’s got their 2023 season off to a fantastic start a fortnight ago with an away win over Wigan Warriors, 12-32.
Now the Saints will be playing their first of four home games in the Scholarship campaign on Wednesday night against Hull KR. The Robins hosted Leeds Rhinos in their first game of the year, going down to a 0-70 loss.
Scholarship matches that are played at the Totally Wicked Stadium are FREE for 2023 Saints Members.

First Team – Wigan Warriors (A)
It’s one of the biggest fixtures in the rugby league calendar; the traditional Easter meeting between St Helens and Wigan Warriors and the latest instalment in a rivalry that began all the way back in 1895.
Both the Saints and the Warriors are on three match winning runs. Paul Wellens’ men secured a solid 38-0 win over a desperately competitive Wakefield Trinity side last Friday night, which followed hard-fought victories over Huddersfield Giants and Hull FC. Matt Peet’s side edged past Huddersfield and Salford before winning the ‘Battle of the Borough’ against Leigh on Thursday evening.
Over 5,000 of the Saints faithful are making the trip to the DW Stadium, in what is expected to be a fiery, exciting encounter in The Derby!

Academy – Wigan Warriors (A)
The second Derby Day of the week sees our Under 18’s Academy take on Wigan Warriors at Robin Park Arena (next to the DW Stadium).
Both Academy sides have has strong starts to the Under 18’s Academy Championship season, getting two wins from two games. Derek Hardman’s young Saints kicked off the year with a dominating 80-0 win over London Broncos at Ruskin Drive, before two weeks ago putting in a strong performance away at Huddersfield Giants to win 2-38.
The Warriors cruised to a win to start their campaign over Newcastle Thunder, and a got convincing away day victory over Bradford Bulls Academy last time out.
