2023 SCDF Easter half-term Camps – Week Two

A look back at all of the events hosted by the Saints Community Development Foundation, following week two of our Easter half-term camps!

Week two of our Easter half-term camps began on Tuesday morning at the Totally Wicked Stadium, following a successful first four days last week. A reminder that our HAF Camps are a council programme funded by the Department for Education.

Tuesday 11th April

Cheer Camps started at 9:30am and running until 3pm, as it had done for the first three days of week one as well.

Later on that afternoon, there was the Girls Development Camp at Cowley International College, which ran from 3:30pm until 5pm like it had done in week one.

Meanwhile, our HAF events ran alongside these. At Allanson Street between 10am and 12pm (Ages 6-16), we ran a multi-sport event. Before running a similar event that afternoon between 12:30pm and 2:30pm (Ages 6-16) at the same venue.

Alongside that, a Cheer & Dance class was going on at Wargrave CofE Primary School. The first class ran between 10:30am and 12:30pm (Ages 5-16), before the second class ran between 1pm and 3pm (Ages 5-16).

The final event of the day was a UV Sports Event at Allanson Street. That ran between 3pm and 5pm and was for ages 10-16.

Wednesday 12th April

The following day, we had our second successive day of Cheer Camps at the Totally Wicked Stadium. That event ran from 9:30am until 3pm as it had been planned for the two weeks.

Alongside that, we also had HAF Camps going on around the local community. Between 10am and 12pm at the Shining Lights Centre, we had the Cheer & Dance classes (Ages 5-16). The afternoon classes running from 12:30pm until 2:30pm at the same location with the same age group.

Meanwhile, the multi-sport event ran alongside that one was at Broad Oak Community Primary School. The morning session ran from 10:30am until 12:30pm (Ages 6-16), whilst the afternoon ran from 1pm until 3pm for the same age group.

The final event of the day was a UV Dance Party at the Shining Lights Centre. That ran between 3pm and 5pm and was for ages 10-16.

Thursday 13th April

The third and final Cheer Camp of the week (sixth of the half-term) then took place on Thursday. As it had done for the past two weeks, it ran from 9:30am until 3pm at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

The biggest Community event of the Easter period then took place at the Totally Wicked Stadium. The Easter HAF event took place between 10:30am and 12:30pm during the morning, before the afternoon session from 1:30pm until 3:30pm at the same venue.

Friday 14th April

Our eighth and final day of the Half-Term Easter Camps saw HAF take centre stage at the Totally Wicked Stadium. HAF was the final event of the two-week holidays, with the first event lasting from 10:30am until 12:30pm in the morning and the afternoon session from 1:30pm until 3:30pm.
