It's a busy week for St Helens, kicking off with two games on Thursday evening, before two of our sides head to the capital!
Our Under 18’s Academy Saints will raise the curtain ahead of the First Team big clash, so it is a local derby double with St Helens taking on Warrington Wolves in both games.
On Saturday, our Women’s team begin the defence of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup with the commencement of the group stage down in London.
Then on Sunday, the Under 16’s are also at the Broncos, although a different venue, for their next game of the 2023 Scholarship season.
Find out all the key details below.
Academy – vs Warrington Wolves (H)
An old-school curtain raiser for the senior team, our Under 18’s will take to the field first against local neighbours Warrington Wolves and keep their good start to the season going. The Red V ave three wins from three for the start of the Academy Championship season, with a dominating home win over London, followed by strong away days at Huddersfield and most recently Wigan.
Derek Traynor’s side kept the Warriors scoreless in the second half at Robin Park Arena over the Easter weekend, posting 18 more points to win 18-46.
Thursday night’s game is a great reason to get down to the Totally Wicked Stadium early and make even more of your night. See our next gen and cheer them on!

First Team – vs Warrington Wolves (H)
Thursday night Super League at the Totally Wicked Stadium, and it’s a big local affair. Saints/Wire games are always intriguing encounters and it should be another cracker between two sides vying for silverware as the 2023 season progresses.
Paul Wellens’ Saints are looking to shake off back-to-back away defeats by returning home and performing well in front of the Saints faithful. With a large majority of starting pack players unavailable due to injury last week, the Red V fought back in spirited fashion late last week at Hull KR but it was not enough to get the win.
Meanwhile, the current league toppers Warrington are licking their wounds after falling to their first defeat of the season. Wigan Warriors got the victory at the Halliwell Jones Stadium last Friday, so the Wolves will be keen to test themselves against the reigning World Club and Super League champions.
It promises to be another exciting game at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
