May kicks off with four matches for St Helens, three of which are away including the First Team's trip to Perpignan!
The Under 16’s Scholarship side will begin our match action this week on Wednesday with a home clash against Leeds Rhinos.
On Friday night the First Team are in France to face Catalans Dragons for the first time this year.
At the weekend our Academy are up north in Tyneside on Saturday taking on Newcastle Thunder, before Saints Women take on Castleford to close out the week at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle.
Scholarship – vs Leeds Rhinos (H)
Our Under 16’s have a big game on Wednesday night against Leeds Rhinos and are looking to make it four straight wins!
The young Saints last time out secured a solid 20-54 victory in the capital on Sunday, 23rd April, with a clinical second half performance to beat the hosts in convincing fashion.
So far the Scholars have had away wins over Wigan and London, and a comfortable demolition over Hull KR at home. Leeds should prove a tough test for the Red V, who are hungry to keep their 100% start to the season going!

First Team – vs Catalans Dragons (A)
After a week off the Saints return to Super League, ready for a tough task in the south of France against Catalans Dragons.
Steve McNamara’s men have been impressive in the start of their 2023 season and sit fourth in the league standings heading into Round 11. But, they are currently on a three-match losing streak, giving them plenty of extra motivation for Friday night.
Paul Wellens’ men are in an uplifted mood after securing a strong win over table toppers Warrington in Round 10, and fresh off the international break are keen to keep building momentum.
The Red V and the Dragons faced one another three times in 2023, with Saints winning all two of those meetings, whilst Catalans won the third. That victory was the closest of those games back in July 2022, with Catalans narrowly getting past St Helens 20-18.

- Kick-off at 7:45pm (UK) / 8:45pm (France)

Women – vs Castleford Tigers (A)
The next step in the Women’s Challenge Cup defence for St Helens Women sees them take on Castleford Tigers at The Jungle in our second group stage game.
It was a dominant away victory over London Broncos which saw us get off the Cup campaign in good fashion 0-76. The Tigeresses have been going through a rebuild following a complete squad overhaul in the past 12 months after many left to go to York or Featherstone.
A young Cas outfit will be keen to test themselves against the Challenge Cup holders on their own home turf.
- Sunday, 7th May 2023
- Kick-off at 2pm
- The Mend-A-Hose Jungle, WF10 2SD

Academy – vs Newcastle Thunder (A)
Four games, four wins for the Under 18’s in 2023 so far, with the only other unbeaten team in Academy Championship being Hull FC.
Our Red V young guns have secured impressive victories over Warrington and Wigan in their last two matches, and strong performances to get the result over Huddersfield and London too.
A big trip up to Tyneside awaits Saints, and they will be looking to put on a good show and see if they can cement their place at the top side of the league standings.
