It's Derby Delight with FOUR matches this week across all our Saints sides, with all four facing the old foe, Wigan Warriors.
We start match action this week with our Under 19’s Women away at Wigan St Judes on Wednesday evening. Over the weekend our Reserves and Women teams will be playing at the Totally Wicked Stadium, but the main event is THE DERBY – St Helens versus Wigan Warriors in Betfred Super League!
Women’s Academy vs Wigan Warriors
Our developing Women’s players in the Under 19’s have their third match of the year on Wednesday night, looking to make it three wins on the spin. Their two matches to date have both been against Warrington Wolves, home and away, and both saw them get strong wins. Firstly, 0-42 at Crossfields in Warrington, and then 36-0 at Cowley for our home game!

First Team vs Wigan Warriors
What more do we need to say? It’s Saints against Wigan.
One of, if not the, biggest, club games in the calendar and pride as always is on the line. Saints with a win can leapfrog the Warriors in the league ladder and get one back over them after Wigan edged past Saints on Good Friday.
Wigan will be smarting too after being demolished at the hands of Catalans Dragons in Newcastle on Saturday, whilst the Red V are in red-hot form after cruising past Huddersfield Giants at Magic Weekend on the Sunday.

Reserves vs Wigan Warriors
Our Reserves outfit remain undefeated in their 2023 campaign, drawing away 22-22 with Leeds Rhinos last time out. That result did not knock Saints off the top of the Reserves table though, and we still hold a two point lead at the summit heading into this week’s games.

Women vs Wigan Warriors
It’s Round 3 of the Betfred Women’s Super League and our Saints are in high spirits after a brilliant victory over Leeds Rhinos at Headingley a fortnight ago. Furthermore, with the Cup quarter-final with Warrington to come the following week, Matty Smith’s charges will be keen to keep the good form going.
