Saints will be without Captain Jodie Cunningham for the next few weeks after she underwent successful knee surgery on Tuesday...
The Saints Skipper has featured three times for the Red V so far this season. In our season opener, she was forced off early on against York Valkyrie. She has since featured in games against both Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves, whilst also captaining her country for the first time in the mid-season international against France at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Cunningham will now begin her rehab, supported by the club, and we hope to see her back on the pitch in the next few weeks!
Cunningham shared her day of surgery with fans on social media:
1/5 Today I experienced the best care I could have ever asked for and it was honestly quite emotional to truly feel like a professional athlete being cared for in the best way possible. pic.twitter.com/mm6wbe1CuG
