Saints will be without Leah Burke for the rest of the season after she suffered an injury in the derby on Sunday.
Burke suffered a torn ACL in the sixth minute of Sunday’s game against Wigan Warriors at the Totally Wicked Stadium. She was forced off following a tackle as she tried to go for a try in the corner.
The England International has been in great form early on in 2023, scoring 13 tries in six games in all competitions for the Red V. She also scored four times for her country in their mid-season international against France at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Burke will head for surgery before beginning her rehab with our medical team and will hopefully return ahead of the 2024 Betfred Women’s Super League season.
The club will be supporting Leah throughout her rehab and would like to wish Burke a speedy recovery!
