St Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens speaks to the press ahead of his side's visit to Hull FC for the second time in just six days.
With St Helens facing the same opposition at the same venue just days after gaining a victory over them, Wellens knows to expect a tough challenge. Furthermore, with it being a tight turnaround and some injuries picked up, he discusses how there may be some changes to the starting thirteen.
The Red V also boss gives the latest on his squad, including updates on Tommy Makinson and Mark Percival.
Star winger Makinson is unfortunately set for a spell on the sidelines following a hamstring injury he picked up in the Challenge Cup quarter-final, with Wellens expecting Saints’ #5 to miss around five weeks of action. Meanwhile, Percival should be lining up a return for next week’s game against Castleford after his head knock on Saturday which means he misses this Thursday’s game against Hull FC due to head injury protocols.
