A team of walkers from Saints Community Development Foundation and St. Helens MIND will be walking from the Totally Wicked Stadium to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in a bid to raise funds for both organisations.
Before the big Betfred Super League clash between St. Helens and Warrington Wolves on Friday night in Warrington, a team of 70 Saints will be tackling the 9-mile journey to attend the game the hard way – on foot!
Our team of walkers are made up of SCDF staff, St. Helens’ LDRL players, Saints supporters, and local amateur sides. All are raising funds for the Saints Community Development Foundation and St. Helens MIND.
- The SCDF is the Club’s independent charitable trust and does vital work in the local community and beyond!
- St. Helens MIND is an independent local charity, providing a befriending service, social groups and volunteering opportunities.
- Both provide vital services for the people of St Helens, especially around the field of Mental Health support!

Our walkers will disembark from our home stadium at approximately 2:30 pm, as they set off on their 3-hour journey over to Warrington. Attached below is a link to the route our walkers will be taking, if you are taking this route to the match look out for the walkers and give them a wave!

Our final stop is being hosted at Crosfields ARLFC which is an ideal spot for a drink and to welcome the walkers. The final 1.5 miles will then be completed to the stadium where our Club Mascot ‘Boots’ will be waiting to welcome the walkers, as they join the rest of the Saints faithful cheering on the ‘Red-V’ in Warrington.
We would like to send a big thanks to Hatton’s Premier Class Travel, who are kindly providing transport for the walkers back to St Helens! A big thanks to Dave Hatton and his team who continue to support the SCDF, their support is greatly appreciated!
