Up next: Semi-final Saturday

Both St Helens' First & Women's teams are in the final four of the Betfred Challenge Cup this coming Saturday (22nd July), with both games to be played at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

The Saints are just eighty minutes away from Wembley.

  • St Helens Women kick off proceedings of the semi-final weekend at 11:45am against York Valkyrie
  • Then St Helens First Team take on Leigh Leopards, with kick-off scheduled for 2:30pm

Over 4,800 of our supporters have their tickets for the semi-finals already, with the Club’s allocation for the South Stand at the Halliwell Jones Stadium already sold out!

Our Men secured their spot in the final four firstly with a Sixth Round victory on the road against Halifax Panthers 2-26, followed by a professional performance away at Hull FC, winning 18-32 in the quarter-final. Paul Wellens’ Men will face high-flying Leigh Leopards, who are having a season to remember following their promotion to the Super League. The re-branded Centurions beat bottom of the table Wakefield Trinity in Round 6, before getting a victory over York Knights in the quarter-final.

Matty Smith’s Women topped their Challenge Cup group with wins over London Broncos, Castleford Tigers and Warrington Wolves, earning a home quarter-final which drew another game against the Wolves Women, which Smiths’ side won comfortably 36-0. The Red V have been drawn against York Valkyrie, the winner of that semi-final will go through to the Women’s Challenge Cup Final which will be played for the first time ever at Wembley Stadium.
