In St. Helens’ penultimate home match of the regular Betfred Super League 2023 season, as has become a tradition at the Club, we shall be celebrating the lives of Saints players and supporters who have sadly passed away over the past 12 months.
The Red V’s match against Leigh Leopards on Friday 8th September will be double as both our Heritage Round and our Tribute Game, where we as a Club will have a period of reflection ahead of kick-off, with names read out in remembrance and followed by a minute’s applause.
Those same names that will be read aloud will be listed in a special tribute ‘Roll of Honor’ that will be published in our matchday e-programme, with a downloadable version to be made available for supporters too if they wish to keep it digitally or print it out for themselves via the Club website.
If you have a family member or a friend that has been a supporter of St.Helens R.F.C. who has sadly passed away in the last 12 months, we would love to include them in our tribute.
Please email our Club Chaplain, Paul Johnson at [email protected] before 5pm on Friday, 1st September to have your submitted names included in our tribute.
As this is concerning personal matters, the Club can only include the names of supporters with confirmation of consent from the families involved, so where possible please include this if you have it when contacting the Club.
