The Red V come into this Betfred Super League Round 22 match in good form with three straight victories, the latest of which came just last Sunday against Huddersfield Giants, winning 32-18.
Head Coach Paul Wellens has James Bell to call upon following his one-match suspension last week, whilst Wesley Bruines comes out of the named declaration.
Prop forward Matty Lees received a two-match penalty notice for a Grade C ‘High Tackle’ charge from the Match Review Panel, this decision was upheld by the Operational Rules Tribunal. The Club had appealed the decision on Wednesday night, which was unsuccesful and means that the punishment to Lees will stand.
Wesley Bruines is therefore the player who completes the Saints’ 21-man squad list, and if selected would make his senior debut in the Red V, having featured strongly for our Reserves side throughout 2023, and with appearances on dual-registration for Swinton Lions or on loan to North Wales Crusaders.
Hull KR head into this fixture on the back of a heartbreaking loss to Leigh Leopards at Wembley Stadium, with the Robins falling to an extra-time Golden Point drop goal to lose the Betfred Challenge Cup Final, 16-17.
