St.Helens have two players named in the six-man shortlist for the Glen's Vodka Super League Player of the Month for August 2023!
The Saints played four matches in August, winning all four including an extra match to get finally caught up on level terms with the rest of the competition following the rescheduled Round One clash with Huddersfield.
Star halfback Jonny Lomax has enjoyed another commanding month, leading the team around the field and coming up with key set up plays. To his name in the Super League season to date he has a huge 18 try assists, which he added two more to in August. There was also a small, but just, reward for the Red V #6 was grabbing a score on Friday night against Castleford.
Meanwhile winger Makinson is enjoying a rich vein of form himself, grabbing eight tries in the last month including a hat-trick against the Giants, with braces against Hull KR and Castleford too. Tommy also moved into stand-alone ninth spot in the competition’s all-time try scorer leaderboard.
