It is a big week for St.Helens R.F.C with three of our sides in match action, including our Heritage Celebration on Friday night!
Saints get underway on Thursday night with the Academy taking on Wakefield Trinity away, then the First Team host Leigh Leopards and will be playing in our 150 Heritage Kit!
Closing out proceedings will be St.Helens Women who take on Warrington Wolves at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
Find out all the key details below.
Academy vs Wakefield Trinity (A)
With a number of senior Academy players missing, combined with injuries picked up in the game, the Saints fell to their first defeat of the 2023 Academy Championship season last time out to Wigan Warriors. The result however did not knock the Red V off the top of the table, who stand above the Warriors on points difference.
However, St.Helens have an encounter with Wakefield Trinity first on Thursday night at Belle Vue and look to finish the regular season strong and at the top of the tree.
- Thursday, 7th September

- The Be Well Support Stadium, WF1 5EY
- Entry is £5 for adults, free for kids
First Team vs Leigh Leopards (H)
The Saints are in a three horse race for the League Leaders Shield, and with only three games left in the regular season, the Challenge Cup winning Leopards are coming to town wanting to cement their own place in the post-season.
This match will be both our Heritage Celebration match AND our annual Tribute Game – you can find out more here.
Paul Wellens’ men head into the game in strong form, winning the last six Super League matches and last tasted defeat back in July in the Cup semi-final to Leigh, so there is extra motivation to get one back over Adrian Lam’s side.

Women vs Warrington Wolves (H)
Matty Smith’s Women are looking to bounce back following their defeat to Leeds Rhinos last weekend, with just a point needed to secure a home semi-final in the Betfred Women’s Super League play-offs!
Our three-peat Challenge Cup winning Saints take on Warrington, a side they have faced already three times this year, winning all three battles, twice in the Cup and once on their own turf at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
The end-of-season run in is almost complete, if you fancy cheering on the Women and being in that number – then get on down to our home ground!
