Saints Women announce squad for Leeds Semi-Final

Ahead of Saturday night's Semi-Final at the Totally Wicked Stadium, view our match preview down below!

The two sides met at the Totally Wicked Stadium earlier on this month, with the Rhinos coming from behind to win 22-34. The result also meant Saints still haven’t beaten the Rhinos at home since 2018, a record the hosts will need to correct come Saturday.

Saints could welcome Luci McColm, Lucie Sams and Phoebe Hook back from injury this week. Whilst the likes of Alyx Bridge and Danielle McGifford will be looking to get back into the 17, after missing out in recent weeks.

16 members of the 21 that featured against the Rhinos in the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final in August are available for selection on Saturday. However, Saints will be without Zoe Harris, who is out injured, and Chantelle Crowl who is on tour with the Canada Ravens. Leah Burke is also absent, after suffering an ACL injury in June. Meg Bragg is also out, after suffering an ACL injury in 2022.

Saints have won six of their last ten meetings with the Rhinos, but as already noted, haven’t beaten them at home since a 20-14 victory over the Yorkshire side on the 20th May 2018. That will need to change if Saints want to re-claim the trophy back from the reigning Betfred Women’s Super League Champions.
