We have our first winner of our Liverpool John Lennon Airport Half-time Challenge... but we are still yet to hit the crossbar!
Although we haven’t yet had a hit on the crossbar in the regular season, we decided, in conjunction with our partners – Liverpool John Lennon Airport, to give a prize away anyway at the final Betfred Super League regular season home game vs Hull FC on Friday.
Our partners kindly provided a prize of return flights to Belfast with VIP airport experience (free parking, lounge and Fast Track Security passes).
Our two contestants had three cracks at hitting the crossbar and with no success, the tie breaker was a ‘grubber’ kick with our winner Kyle Clarke getting closest to the try line with his attempt!
A big shout out to our second contestant Mike Guy who came very close to winning a prize when hitting the left post, with a video ref decision after the match, replays showed his kick missed the crossbar by inches when hitting the upright.
