A new book has been released celebrating St.Helens R.F.C.'s 150th anniversary and it's about the men who 'made' the Club into what it is today.
Club Historian Alex Service and Adrian Lawrenson of the Saints Heritage Society are the authors of the new publication, Saints Indeed, which provides insight on key people in our Club’s history such as; players, administrators and supporters.
The book chronicles the Saints’ nomadic beginnings before settling in at Knowsley Road, to the move to our modern-day stadium at Peasley Cross now known as the Totally Wicked Stadium. There are 100 biographies of key people attached to the Saints with the likes of’; players Alf Ellaby to Tommy Makinson, and Chairmen Harry Cook to Eamonn McManus.
Saints Indeed is available now initially at the Saints Superstore at the Totally Wicked Stadium, with the first 150 copies available in colour priced at £15.
