Saints superstar fullback Jack Welsby went down to London to cheer on World Number One darts player - Michael Smith!
The ‘Bully Boy’ is a huge St.Helens R.F.C. supporter and one of the town’s best ambassadors, shining on the darting stage highlighted last January by lifting the Sid Waddell trophy to become the World Darts Champion.

Sky Sports commentator and Sit Down With The Saints presenter Stuart Pyke welcomed ‘Super Jack’ to Ally Pally, before the two St.Helens’ number ones had a conversation with Radio X & Sky Sports’ Polly James.
As a thank you for the invitation, Jack presented Michael with two Saints shirts, one printed with ‘SMITH 180’ and the other ‘WELSBY 2027’.

The action itself between Smith and Razma was tense, and Welsby was there cheering on every dart thrown by the Bully Boy on his way to victory and moving into the fourth round.
